Coach Zan Biedenharn is from Vero Beach, Florida, where she was a four-time State Champion at Vero Beach High School for coach Shannon Dean, a two-time All-American and played club lacrosse for Stickbenders in Florida. She went on to play three years at Virginia Tech (D1) as an attacker. At Virginia Tech, she was rookie of the year in her freshman year and graduated in May 2019 with a degree in Human Development and a minor in Psychology and Sociology. While in college, she coached her club team (Stickbenders) for 3 years during the summer months. Coach Zan moved to Charlotte in 2019 and began coaching for Queen City Stars in the Fall of 2020. The 2021 Spring marks Coach Zan’s inaugural season with A.G. Girls lacrosse.
Coach Abby McGaha began playing lacrosse in Westminster, MD at the age of four before moving to Charlotte and playing for Myers Park High School. She continued her playing career at the D1 collegiate level for St. Josephs and then Winthrop University. Coach McGaha will graduate in the Spring of 2021 with a Bachelors in Biology before attending graduate school for physical therapy. The 2021 Spring marks Coach Abby’s second season with A.G. Girls lacrosse; she has also coached for the Carolina Miners and Queen City Stars in past summers.
